WRITING & MORE
I have had two books published and I'm currently working on a third: 'Four Faces - The story of The Who's solo careers'.
My writing work has taken a back seat pretty much over the past few years but since I was asked to write the sleeve notes to Pete Townshend's solo collection 'Truancy' and the liner notes to the 'Polydor singles box', the last of The Who's box set releases, I once again have the appetite to write and that is where 'Four Faces' was born. In the past I have written many liner notes for CD / DVD releases, concert programme notes and magazine articles as well as recording interviews, such as the 'Tommy' movie DVD release and biographical programmes on The Who.
In 1996 I started the semi official Who fanzine called 'Naked Eye' which I edited and was the main contributor between 1996 - 2002. A few years ago I adapted the format online and stated a 'Naked Eye' website.
I also carry out photo research for projects, including 'The Seeker' series of prints for Genesis Publications and 'Who I Am' Pete Townshend's 2012 memoir. In that he refers to me as "a guardian of Who history" and remarks that my photographs are "wonderful" which is pretty high praise.
I am currently working on two books. One is an account of the Who's solo activities, called 'Four Faces', more details on this can be found here http://www.thewhofourfaces.com/ The second is a memoir / photobook called 'Inside Outside' which I hope to publish in 2021.
